Mahogany Wood Carvings
Francisco Rosario was born in Manatí, Puerto Rico and has been crafting works of art out of wood since he was 15 years old; he is considered a master craftsman in wood turning. Over a period of 60 years, Rosario has been producing wood products out of native tropical woods. His works are finished in the natural wood’s colors, and predominantly, he uses mahogany. Whenever possible, based on availability, he likes to use other tropical woods such as Guayacán (Lignum Vitae), Teak, and Maho.

Francisco Rosario has been honored by The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture as one of Puerto Rico´s Master Craftsman.
